Details:燣ocal company in Jacksonville is in search of a hands on working Purchasing / Inventory / Warehouse Agent.聽 聽The candidate will be directly responsible for materials management and inventory planning and truck loading; the agent will collaborate cross functionally to integrate production planning, forecasting, material procurement, logistics, inventory control, warehousing, and distribution and access controllability.聽 The role will require strong functional/technical knowledge and excellent analytical skills, plus the ability to solve problems, build support for new ideas, and lead others through process improvement and project implementation.聽聽Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned)路聽 Develop and implement an improved inventory control system路聽 Maintain computerized and manual records路聽 Maintain company鈥檚 inventory levels to accurately meet fluctuating demand as determined by project needs.路聽 Verify receipt of all items into inventory by comparing items received to P.O.鈥檚 and resolving any differences both in the shop and the field路聽聽Supervise and assist as needed with physical truck loading and unload duties as required路聽聽Monitor shipments to ensure on time delivery for all jobs路聽聽Complete physical inventory audits and reports for the corporate office路聽聽Primary contact with vendors to place all P.O.鈥檚 for material, gases, equipment and supplies for jobs路聽聽Maintain purchase order integrity (system data and documentation)路聽聽Strong Negotiation skills with vendors for the best material prices, payment terms, discounts and shipping costs路聽聽Work with supervisors in the field, corporate office and the operations center to improve purchasing practices路聽聽Formalize policies and procedures for procurement of goods and service路聽聽Oversee the maintenance of the company鈥檚 equipment to ensure proper working order at all times. NEVER let broken equipment be sent back into the field without repair路聽聽Understanding and perfecting the flow of equipment to meet all upcoming scheduled jobs.聽 Notify management when equipment needs are more than current supplies support and develop plan to work through shortfalls路聽聽Track all equipment on and off jobs路聽聽Oversee and communicate the proper loading of trucks for jobs using the Supervisors Load List to ensure that all trucks show up to the job with all the needed materials and supplies to get the job done路聽聽Keeping inventory organized in a logical manner for faster and more successful shipping operations. 路聽聽Develops strategic inventory operations plan by evaluating objectives; calculating equipment, process, labor capacity and requirements; determining space and storage objectives and requirements; developing layouts; establishing priorities. 路聽聽Maintains records by designing document filing systems and timely input of transactional information into the system.
